About My Cat My Therapy

My Cat My Therapy is a cat blog I run for people who live with cats, miss cats, or simply cannot stop watching them. My name is Farid Rouaissy. I started this site, I write the posts, and I decide what goes up. If something is on this page, it came through me.

I care about cats as individuals. A dumped stray, a rescue still learning the litter box, a cat who kneads your arm at 3 a.m. Each one is somebody. That is the thread through everything I publish.

About My Cat My Therapy: what you will find here

Rescue and recovery. Many posts follow cats who were hurt, abandoned, or overlooked, and the people who stepped in. Some of those stories are hard. I still publish them. The cat who lived through that day deserves a full account, including what came after. Recovery is slow and often unfinished. I try to leave that in.

Why cats do what they do. Scratching the sofa. Hiding under the bed. Knocking a glass off the table. I write about ordinary cat behavior in plain language, so you can respond to the animal in front of you. I am not a veterinarian. If something looks medical, take the cat to a vet who can actually examine them.

Honest care and product notes. Food, litter, toys, everyday gear. When I mention a product, I say what it is useful for and where it falls short. Product posts are a minority here. Most of the site is stories and behavior.

How I write

Every article on My Cat My Therapy is original. I do not copy other blogs or spin someone else’s post with a new headline. When I use research, I cite it so you can read the source yourself. When a story starts from a public video, a rescue update, or a news report, I treat that as reporting. I do not write it as if I was in the room unless I was.

I treat cats as someones. When their names are known, I use them. I do not use cats as props for a punchline or a product shot.

I do not publish a reader’s story, photo, or private message without permission. If you tell me something and you do not want it on the site, it stays off the site.

If I get a fact wrong, I correct the post.

The community is on Facebook

Most readers of My Cat My Therapy are on Facebook. That is where comments, shares, and the day-to-day conversation actually happen.

My Cat My Therapy on Facebook

I read what people say. I cannot reply to every comment. I do try to keep the page a decent room to be in.

Affiliate links, said plainly

Some posts contain Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, I may earn a small commission. The price you pay does not change.

I only recommend things I would actually use, or that I believe are a fair option for the problem the post is about. If I would not put it in a house with a cat I care about, it does not belong in the post.

For the full picture of affiliate links and ads on this site, read the Disclaimer.

Thanks for being here

That is the site. A cat blog, written by one person, for people who take cats seriously. If a post helps you understand your cat a little better, or makes you more patient with a rescue who is still learning to trust, then it did its job.

Thanks for reading.
